How to Stay Happy in Every Situation + 15 quotes to Make you SMILE

Some will make you smile, others will make you feel stronger than ever – I promise

The quarantine lifestyle is far from easy. I have to admit, I have tried very hard to look at the positive side of things so as to stay happy in every situation, even during the 15 days quarantine when we were shut completely from the outside world.  Yes, we were shut. So how do you stay happy in every situation?

I do my bit to look at the time spent in kitchen as an opportunity to become a better home-chef, helping with the dishes as a DIY workout or rather a fat burning auto pilot mode. That’s another thing, I am obsessed with fitness. We turned single dish dinner into an opportunity to hang out in the balcony, and admire at the pristine clear skies that have gone an intoxicating shade of turquoise and lilac off-late. Yet there have been times, more sort of recently now that I find myself going over question likes these

“How to feel happy now?

How to stay positive during lockdown?

How to stay positive during difficult times?

How to stay happy in Life?”

If you often find yourself looking for these answers, in my opinion you are absolutely normal. Trust me, if we were to take a vote of hands, in a room full of people, there’d be far more people sticking their hand out than not, atleast in their heads. The novel coronavirus pandemic has squeezed us to the confines of our homes, borders are shut, there is economic instability and any and everything seems to be available in limited stock only.

So, what are my ways to stay happy everyday?

I hope this post is able to actually help you arrive at some really achievable methods to stay happy in any situation and lots more.

Reframe the anxiety

IU say so, because anxiety is a science that thrives on trying to control what we can’t, which in the current COIVD pandemic is pretty much everything surrounding us.  Instead, I try to reframe that state to stay focused on things that are in my direct control. You know what I mean, though its surprisingly easy to completely overlook implementing this in that moment of madness. Also, this is typically my first response to a situation where I am looking for ways to stay happy during difficult times.

Balance out Social Media consumption

Yes, it is possible. And works

Don’t obsess over being overtly happy

And that comes from the acceptance that I can only be a 60%ish  happy of what I usually am as these are trying times. Also, that number can really vary for each person, but once I accepted this, I stopped looking for ways to become overtly happy.

Aquire a hobby

It could be anything, singing, lip syncing, reading, chai time in a pleasantly lit aromatic corner or candy crush, why not! One hour or even 20 minutes of ‘ME time’. I am a huge fan of this concept and I really treasure that part of the day when I can shut out from the rest of the world, of any other work or worries or responsibilities and do exactly what I love.

And then this always works

Ofcourse little acts of kindness, praises and hugs ALWAYS whip up the magic and for the rest there are these 15 quotes that I have made a habit to live by. No, its not Netflix or Chocolates that calm me down, when I am really looking out for real tough answers to ‘How to stay HAPPY during lockdown’.  Those can be so momentarily or deceptive but these happiness quotes really HELP.
