Storyline of “Lockup”
“Lockup” is a ZEE5 Original Movie about sub-inspector Moorthy and constable Vasanth who are put under Ilavarasi, a hard-nosed police inspector in charge of the police station.
The Mysterious death of cop Sampath opens up to fabricated evidence about involvement of other cops. In a twist of events, Murthy, a local goon confesses to the murder but the cops find inconsistency in the confession. The house maid’s suicide seems linked to the murdered cop. A sudden death of the goon and an unexpected revelation makes the plot complex.
The storyline shifts back and forth from the present to the flashback and the director keeps you on your toes. Every few minutes, just when you think you have guessed the murderer the plot takes a twist and the director makes you fail yet again. There is #SuspenseAtEveryTurn until the mystery is finally revealed at the end.
The genre of the movie is an investigative crime thriller, dark and light comedy.
